Project Focus: Communicating about effective technology use (focus 2)
Project Description:
As part of this project, I propose the development of a Power Point presentation that helps service center electronics technicians effectively navigate my company’s website.
The goal is to enable our Service Center managers and technical staff to easily locate products, product technical specifications, purchase of replacement parts as well as accessories quickly, efficiently and in the shortest time possible.
This project is important, because Service Centers for the most part, are not very efficient at locating information they need in order to accomplish their service objectives; our website is replete with information, knowing where to go within our site to obtain data and information is critical.
I chose this project because the experience I get, will further my technical abilities and will enhance my practice at training technical staff.
I expect to learn how to concisely organize information on a Power Point Presentation that will allow service technicians to easily navigate our website and quickly retrieve the information they need. This project is part of communicating to others about the effective use of technology.
PROJECT ARTIFACTS:
1) I will post the resulting Power Point presentation for instructor and scholar perusal and review.
2) The easiness of website navigation shall be considered a good quality indicator.
3) These artifacts shall demonstrate my ability to engage in the process, by effectively communicating to others critical information which is necessary to their ability to perform their tasks.

Milestone 1: 02/02/07, data gathering in preparation for video.
Milestone 2: 02/10/15/07, video is almost complete.
Finish date: 02/25/07, presentation is ready for posting.
